My guest today is Peter Lochert, Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Services at the Parliament of Victoria.

Peter was born in Chile and migrated to Australia with his family in 1971 when he was 18 years old, and didn’t speak a word of English.

From a comfortable existence to mucking out the chicken coop then climbing the ranks to senior leadership, Peter’s story is common among Australia’s migrants. In Peter’s own words, don’t be defined by your boundaries.
